False Extract Failure Notifications

Tableau Engineers have implemented a solution to mitigate the issue causing users to incorrectly receive email notifications stating that their extracts have failed in the Tableau Online UE1 environment. We have confirmed that extract refreshes have been completing without issue and these notification were false failures. We will continue to monitor the situation closely; this incident is now considered resolved.

Tableau Engineers have identified the problem that is causing users to incorrectly receive email notifications stating their extract refreshes have failed in the Tableau Online when extract data has been confirmed to be current. A solution to mitigate incorrect outbound notifications is currently being worked on. Next update at 9:00pm UTC or sooner if new information becomes available.

Investigating
We have been made aware of an issue within Tableau Online that may be causing users to incorrectly receive email notifications stating their extract refreshes have failed. We can confirm that extract data is current, however we have begun our investigation to identify the cause of false failure notifications being sent.
